- Windsor & Royal Borough Museum is a Registered/Accredited Museum which comprises the local history collection for the borough, comprising over 7,000 objects. It is run by a team of part-time museum staff, supported by the Friends of the Windsor & Royal Borough Museum and a large team of volunteers. The Curator is available at the Museum every Thursday (except during August) to discuss the collection, answer questions and take in potential donations. Small museum displays can also be found in Windsor Library, York House council offices in Sheet St. Windsor, Maidenhead Library, Maidenhead Town Hall and Cox Green Library. The Museum Store is closed to the public, but is open to visitors for research, by prior appointment only, on Wednesday mornings. Please phone 01628 796846.
