    • Located in the beatuiful Candie Gardens, a late 19th century pleasure garden in St Peter Port (Guernsey's main urban area), this is the headquarters of the museum service. The building houses the Story of Guernsey gallery, which tells the story of the island and its people from prehistoric times. Some of the finest artwork in the collection is on display in the Rona Cole art gallery. The Brian White gallery showcases an exciting timetable of temporary exhibitions. Hands on learning is provided in the Discovery Room, which includes a Timewarp area and Cabinet of Curiosities. Also, new for 2014, the greenhouse gallery (Guernsey Arts Commission) has opened and is included in the ticket price for the Museum. Please note: from September 2011 for the next 5 years or so, the Museum will undergo development which may mean some of the galleries are temporarily closed.
