Show Me... More Brighton And Hove Picture Postcards

March 31 2005

If you've been out and about in Brighton and Hove museums and galleries lately, you might have seen Show Me postcards like the one below.

If you see one of these in a museum or gallery, please pick it up, draw a picture on the back, and pop it in a postbox. You don't even need a stamp.

The back of the postcards looks like this, all ready for your wonderful artwork!

Child's drawing - spirals in red and green felt pen.

This colourful drawing of a racing car is by Seth, who is three. He's been to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Harvey, who is four and a half, also went to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, and thought the Discovery Room was cool!

Child's drawing in felt pen - three oval shapes in a row - the two on the outside are blue and the one on the inside is red.

Child's line drawing of a dinosaur-like animal.

Six-year old Esme sent us this beautiful drawing after visiting the Booth Museum of Natural History. Well done Esme!

Harry is also six. He went to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and has sent in this great drawing of a scary-looking necklace made from sperm whale teeth.

Pucker up! Valentina, who is 11, has drawn this gorgeous picture of the 'Lips' sofa she saw at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Bridget, who is four and a half, also went to the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. She's sent us this wonderful picture of a very happy cat - we love all the bright colours!

Child's handwriting.

Nine-year old Morgan has written in to say:
"2 weeks ago I found some Welsh slate with iron in it. A few days after I'd found it I took it to the Booth Museum and left it there. The geologist rang me and that's how I discovered what it was."

What a great find, Morgan - thanks for telling us about it!

Séan is three and a half, and he's been to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. Look at his fantastic drawing of a fast car!

What a beautiful butterfly! This was sent in by Kate, who is six and 11 months. She's been to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Madison, who is four, went to the Booth Museum of Natural History, and sent us this picture of a lovely deep blue fish. Thanks Madison!

Three-year old Samuel sent us in this great drawing after a visit to the Booth Museum. He really liked looking at the bones!

Harvey, who is five, sent in this brilliant picture after visiting Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Child's drawing in felt pen of a pink face with big green eyes and brown hair.

We love getting your postcards, and they make the museum staff very happy too, so thank you and keep them coming!
