Gunpowder Plot Gallery

Here are just a few of our favourite entries from the Gunpowder Plot competition...

Laura Wiggan's poster of Guy Fawkes is very colourful and eye-catching.

Do you think that's the Tower of London behind him?

Adam O'Brien has sent in a very realistic-looking poster, with old-fashioned writing and spelling on brown parchment.

Adam's poster is a reminder that Guy Fawkes did not work alone - just look at all those other 'wanted' names.

Five hundred gold guineas is a very tempting reward, isn't it?

Bethanie Kaye is after one of Guy Fawkes' partners in crime - Robert Winter.

He was one the men who first came up with idea of blowing up the king and the government.

I wouldn't want to meet him down a dark alley behind the Houses of Parliament!

Jack Hewson's Guy Fawkes looks pretty scary too!

We think this picture makes it easy to imagine Guy Fawkes creeping around to set up his explosions.

Joseph Inns has drawn a great picture of a London street. Look at that dark passage and the tall buildings with their little windows.

Do you think these are policemen looking for Guy Fawkes and his gang?

Here's another 'Wanted' poster which makes Guy Fawkes look like someone to avoid!

This one was sent in by Casey Dunn. Well done, Casey!

We really like your reminder to the public to "look carefully"!

Lauren Wildman's poster is searching for Thomas Percy.

He escaped from London and was killed for his part in the Gunpowder Plot three days after the plan was discovered.

Here's a lovely picture of Robert Catesby by Laurel Quinn.

Her poster really brings the wanted man to life, with his curly hair and shiny buttons.

A great, bold headline and an impressive photo here!

Emily Skelton's newspaper article would certainly have got the attention of Londoners when the plot was discovered.

Ben Sandes has also sent in a newspaper story.

He has used photos really well to show how close the plotters came to blowing up Parliament.

These entries are really impressive and we'd like to congratulate everyone who sent in a poster or a newspaper story.
