Wardown Park Museum, Luton

The Museum is free and is situated in beautiful Wardown Park. There is lots to do during the year at Wardown Park Museum as well as the different galleries: the Luton Life Gallery is all about local people, there's the Lace Collection and army displays in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regimental Gallery.

Stockwood Discovery Centre, Luton

It's free with hands on stuff and collections all about Luton's history, including the famous medieval Wenlock Jug and a bee gallery! Don't miss the gardens including an Elizabethan Knot Garden and Discovery Gardens, a play area and much more.

Inspire, Norwich

At this hands-on science centre, you can really get involved and try out lots of cool science experiments like the Gyro Wheel, the Wall of Death, the Bernoulli Blower, the Plasma Globe and the Flying Mirrors!


What it is like to be a palaeontologist and to find out about fascinating prehistoric creatures from their remains? Find out at Fossils & Funny Bones. Explore a real fossil excavation pit surrounded by props, real artefacts and costumes.


Natural History Museum, Colchester

Did you know there was an earthquake in Colchester in 1884? Or that mammoths and hippos used to roam the area? What lurks beneath your feet in your garden? There are loads of fascinating things to find out about here!


West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

What was it like in early Anglo-Saxon times? Here you can walk in the footsteps of our ancestors - go into their houses and imagine living in early Anglo-Saxon times. Visit the pigs, watch the chickens and experience the open air life!

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, Dereham


Farm animals, countryside, gardens, traditional shops and houses...make sure you take a whole day for this one as there is so much to explore.


Colchester Castle Museum, Essex

Since the 16th Century, the Castle has been a ruin, a library and even a prison for witches!

Travel back through the past 2,000 years and find out about Colchester's Roman past, the town's visit from Boudicca, the Norman invasion and the siege during the English Civil War!

Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridgeshire

This museum was an airfield in the First World War and also played a vital role in the Second World War.


There are aircraft, tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits to see, and there's always a chance you'll see a Spitfire, or other historic aircraft, in flight during your visit! Admission is free if you're 15 or under (except on Air Show days).


Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, Cambridge.

This museum is home to the world's largest spider. Dare you visit?


Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery is fab. It's got an enormous castle keep to explore, a brand new Vikings and Anglo-Saxons gallery and lots, lots more.

Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life

Ahoy me hearties! Here you can find out about Great Yarmouth's fascinating maritime and fishing history and some of the colourful characters who made their living from the sea.


You can take part in a variety of craft activities every Sunday. There are sessions on: making a stained glass window, shell imprint tiles, sea turtle finger puppets, making a picture with nature print paper, fish block printing and painting on silk.
