Wolf Brother: make your own wolf mask

This scary wolf mask on National Museums Scotland website is just grrr-eat and reminds us of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness books by Michelle Paver.

In the stories, the boy hero Torak belongs to the Wolf Clan and becomes friends with a wolf.

The stories are set 6,000 years ago in the Stone Age - see some Stone Age objects from the British Museum collection.

Find more on our Prehistory topic page.

You can print off and plot Torak's journey on a map - (this is on the Orion Publishing Group website, on page 4 of a teaching resource called Wolf Brother Survival Guide).
