It's the summer holidays and it's probably raining so we thought you might be getting a bit bored. Here's a selection of some of our favourite games and activities for when you're stuck for some fun things to make and do.
Nanw's Great Adventure is a fab game from the National Library of Wales and we couldn't stop playing it when we first tried it. It's easy to play, but very tricky to finish...

What about exploring a scary ancient tomb with Egyptian Tomb Adventure, a great game from National Museums Scotland?
You need to decipher the heiroglyphic code and much more - and don't forget to watch out for the scorpions!
Solve a different kind of code in Cracker, where you can practise your spying and detective skills in this series of intriguing games from the Science Museum.

We always like finding out about knights in armour and the Middle Ages, and you can have lots of fun with Battledress and Castlequest, two games from the National Army Museum.
Battledress gets you working out how to properly equip medieval warriors in a race against the clock and Castlequest is an adventure game where you have to search for hidden treasures then make your escape.

Sports mad? Then Team Colours, from The Colour Museum, is the game for you. You have to match the right football strip to the correct team, and it's not just British teams, so you need to brush up on your footie knowledge for this one.

Why not have a look at the Natural History Museum's excellent Kids Only site?
There's plenty of fun and games, you can find out what dinosaur you are, and even see some of the museum's smallest residents with its antcam, beecam and its flesh-eating beetlecam.

As well as all these games we thought you might like a few activity ideas for stuff to do away from the computer.
Marbling is excellent fun and simple to do - make some wonderful patterns with our easy to follow guide.
