Once you've had a nosey around the Mary Rose site you'll know all about the different crewmen that worked on the ship.

Which is your favourite character? If you lived at the time and had to choose which of the jobs you'd like to do, which would it be?

Would you be the barber-surgeon, sawing off people's gangrenous legs?

The cook, slaving away over a hot stove for more than four hundred sailors?

Or perhaps the Captain, getting paid more than the others but having to keep control?

Whoever you choose, how do you think you'd feel the day before you set sail? You'd probably have lots of things to organise like tools, clothes and ship supplies.

There would be families and friends to say goodbye to as well.
