Show Me has been walking the red carpet at a kids' movie making awards ceremony, the First Light Movies Awards 2009.

The Awards took place in London yesterday - March 17 2009.

best film club

best drama
best film by over 13s
best film by under 12s
best horror
best thriller
and best screenplay.

We sent our special Show Me reporter, Ava, aged 9, along to cover the event.

"It was fantastic going to the First Light Movies Awards 2009. I felt really special.

Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter films) thought that the young filmmakers were so brilliant that he wanted to work for them!

Here's me with Kelly who was from the Young Carers Project in Brighton.

They won best animation for A Day In The Life Of Eddie.

I spoke to Thornsett Primary School from High Peak in Derbyshire.

They were runners up in the best film club section.

Here's pupil, Amy. She loves being in the film club because, 'You get to see cool films.'
