Show Me's Favourite Games

Here at Show Me we have the most fantastic job. We get to play with lots of games to decide whether or not we should put them on the website for you lot.

Here's our annual round-up of favourites to keep you busy over the holidays.

First up has to be Launchball. This completely addictive game from the Science Museum has been massively popular with both kids and adults since its autumn launch.

You have to work your way through lots of levels using science gadgets and tricks. Find out more about the game in our news story about its launch or jump straight in and play.

From science to books with this next game. Back in the summer the National Library of Wales launched Nanw's Great Adventure.

Your job is to guide little Nanw around this gigantic library (in Welsh or English), through lots of levels, and get all of the rare books back to the librarian.

Read more about it in our story of the launch or play here.

Next up is a wintery special from the Natural History Museum. Penguins in Peril was launched to accompnay their fantastic Ice Station Antarctica exhibition and is great fun.

You'll probably be really good at it... your editor can't get past the first few icebergs. I need less work and more practice.

Over the last couple of months the country seems to have gone mad on all things Ancient Egyptian, since Tutankhamun's treasures arrived.

No need to go to London to find Ancient Egyptians though. We love the National Museum of Scotland's Egyptian Tomb Adventure game. You feel like a real archaeologist as you delve into a tomb... bit spooky too.

Our final pick is ArtisanCam's Jewellery Designer. More an arty activity than a game, it can take a little while to load but is well worth waiting for. We spent far too much time this year designing bracelets for Kylie and Posh!

Take a look at the other fantastic games and activities on the ArtisanCam site too... there's plenty to keep you busy.

So... enjoy the games. Remember, if you find any more you think we should know about, drop us a line.
