    • Ever get bored of just looking at paintings?

With this interactive website, you and your friends can recreate famous paintings yourselves. Just choose a painting you like the look of and then have fun trying to recreate it yourselves.

You can use props, costumes, or just work on getting the pose absolutely right. There's a real variety of paintings to choose from, such as Vincent Van Gogh's self-portrait - perfect for creating selfies. You can even edit the pictures using photo editing software to change the image. Why not give yourself ginger hair and a beard like Samuel did in the image below?

On the left side is a self-portrait by Vincent Van Gogh and on the right side a young boy imitates the pose, with a ginger beard, hair and eyebrows digitally added.Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat, Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) vanGo’d by Samuel Batty© License of this image: CC-BY-SA. Or you can gather your friends together for something big like the image below.

At the top of the image is a painting of a family in 17th century clothes and below this is a modern photograph of a group of girls recreating the image.Michiel de Ruyter and his Family, Juriaen Jacobson (1625-1685) vanGo’d by DanceMatters© License of this image: CC-BY-SA License of original image: Amsterdam Museum - Public Domain
Once you've snapped the perfect pic, you can post it on social media with the original painting for everyone to admire.
