Here's a site map for screenreader users.

We want lots of different people to be able to enjoy this resource, so we've spent time thinking about how to make it easy to use.

We are working to ensure this website will be readable by people who use screenreader programs. Interactive parts of the site were built using Flash MX software, so that readers using assistive technology can begin to access this content in a meaningful way.

As well as that, the links, letters and colours of the pages should be easily readable if you have impaired vision.

Technical Aspects

This site is designed in HTML 4.1 transitional. It uses CSS1 stylesheets to control the format and appearance of fonts.

The site should be level A compliant to the WAI accessibility guidelines.

The site authors have tried to make the site language accessible, by using plain English where possible, and offering a glossary where needed.

The project has been built to conform with NOF-digital accessibility standards, consistent with other publicly-funded sites in the museum, library and archive sector. It is intended to meet W3C and RNIB accessibility standards.
