    • Florence Nightingale, also known as the Lady with the Lamp, was a nurse best known for her work during the Crimean War. The Wellcome Collection have this engraving that shows a picture of her carrying her famous lamp.

      In the image you can see her tending to wounded soldiers in a busy hospital.
